Terms of service
The Website Robot is a trade name of Get-Amigo, LLC ("we", "us"). These terms cover the website service we provide to you ("you", your business). Signing up, or letting us build and host your site, means you agree to them.
- First 2 months free, then $100/month. No contract, no setup fee.
- Cancel anytime by emailing lee@thewebsiterobot.com. Cancel during the free months and you pay nothing.
- Your domain is yours. We register and renew it for you, and if you ever leave, we transfer it to you free.
- Your photos, logo and words stay yours.
1. What you get
While you're subscribed, we provide: a website for your business, hosting, registration and renewal of one domain name for your business, a business email mailbox on that domain, reasonable updates when you email us (text, photos, hours, services, prices), and help getting your new site onto your Google Business Profile (the free listing that shows you on Google Maps), including walking you through claiming it if you haven't. Bigger projects, like a full redesign, online booking or a store, we'll scope with you first. Nothing extra is ever charged without your written OK.
2. Price and billing
- The plan is $100 per month, and your first 2 months (60 days) are free.
- We collect a card through our payment processor, Stripe, when you sign up. Your first charge is on day 61, then every month on the same date.
- Stripe emails you a reminder before your free months end.
- If we ever change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. You can cancel before then.
- Prices don't include sales tax. If your state taxes this kind of service, the tax is added to your charge and shown on your receipt.
3. Cancelling
Email lee@thewebsiterobot.com any time. Cancel during the free months and you're never charged. After that, cancelling stops all future charges and your service runs to the end of the month you've already paid for. We don't refund partial months, and there are no cancellation fees.
4. Your domain
After you sign up we suggest a web address and a couple of alternatives on your review page. Pick one, or type your own if it's available. If you haven't picked within 48 hours, we go ahead with the one we suggested so your site isn't held up; email us if you'd like it changed before it's registered. We register your domain for your business through our account and keep it renewed while you're subscribed, so there's nothing for you to set up or verify. It's yours: if you cancel, we'll transfer it to you, into your own account at Namecheap or any registrar you choose, at no charge. After that, renewing it is up to you.
5. Your content
You own everything you give us: photos, logos, text, your business name. You let us use it to build, host and show your site. You confirm you have the right to use it. We won't use your content to advertise our service without asking you first.
6. Your site files and email
When your site goes live we email you your business mailbox address and a temporary password. Change it the first time you sign in; we don't keep it, and we can reset it if you forget yours. If you cancel, ask and we'll send you a copy of your website files. Your email mailbox stays active until the end of your last paid month. Save anything you want to keep before then, and we'll help you export it if you ask.
7. Emails from us
When you tap "Make it live" on a preview, or send us your details, you're asking us to finish your site, and you agree that we can email you about it at the address you gave. That means:
- Service emails about your request and your account: your site is ready to review, a change you asked for is done, your site is live, billing and changes to these terms.
- Up to two reminders if you start but don't finish a step. Then we stop.
Every email comes from lee@thewebsiterobot.com and is sent for us by our email provider. Reply "stop" to any reminder and we won't send another. Service emails about an active subscription continue until you cancel.
8. Previews
We may build a free preview site for a business from public information (such as its name, city and license listing) and mail the owner a postcard about it. Previews are hidden from search engines, aren't the business's official website, and come down after about 30 days or as soon as the owner asks. To stop mail or remove a preview, use thewebsiterobot.com/optout or email us.
9. Things we won't host
We may refuse or take down content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, is deceptive, or puts our hosting at risk. If that happens, we'll tell you why.
10. Availability
We use established hosting providers and automated tools (including AI) to build, update and run sites, and a person (Lee) oversees the work. We work to keep your site up, but no site is up 100% of the time. We can't guarantee uninterrupted service, search rankings, or any number of calls or customers.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We're not liable for lost profits or indirect damages. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email active customers at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
